My name is Seth Berkowitz and I am a trained professional photographer.   I have been exploring the fine-art aspects of my craft for over 20 years, and I have been teaching photography for nearly as long - here on Salt Spring Island, as well as in Vancouver and in Victoria.

I enjoy teaching my vocation immensely and find that there is very little that can match the satisfaction of watching the glow the grows in someone's eyes when they suddenly see a new path to be photographically explored.

Please check out the workshops that I am offering, listed on the right.  I like to keep the classes small to allow for personal attention. I like to challenge people's assumptions about how photographs should be made.  I like to answer people's questions about photography, and it's place in the world.

Some of the workshops offered in the fall of 2011 are being jointly offered through the Salt Spring Arts Council.
